Gift Ideas!
I just got this in one of my newsletters. A great list of gift ideas! And a great way to start with Heritage Makers. If you're not sure about creating the item for them, give them a gift certificate!
THE HERITAGE MAKERS GIFT GUIDE
Inspired by our inclusion on the “O List,” we’ve decided to make a Gift Guide of our own! This season, give a gift that will draw your family and friends closer together.
Card Games: create your own personalized deck of cards. Make a family heritage memory game, a set of flash cards, or child’s game like Old Maid or Go Fish. You’ll find templates in our Template Gallery, or you can start from scratch.
Calendars and date books: Make every page of your calendar memorable with pictures from the past year. A 5x5 or 7x5 date book doubles as a family and friends photo album that slips right into your purse.
Personalized CD covers: What makes a mix CD even more personal? A cover designed by you. The 3-panel family fold is the perfect size. See the Template Gallery for a brand new CD cover template.
Posters: You can hang a piece of your heritage right in your home. Canvas posters now come in 16x20 and 20x24 sizes. And be sure to check out our FREE gallery wrap service!
Individual Pages: Do you know an avid scrapbooker or family historian? Maybe you’re one yourself. Because Heritage Makers now offers individual 8x8, 8.5x11, and 12x12 pages, you can create tribute pages about a friend, family member or special event, slip it into a sleeve and insert it into your scrapbook. Or, frame it and hang it on the wall.
Books, Books, Books: the most meaningful gifts are about heart and home. Give a gift that will become an heirloom.

You Can Still Go Digital!
Are you a traditional scrapbooker that has a bunch of stuff in your closet and that's what is keeping you from going digital? Well don't let that stop you! Create a hybrid scrapbook!
Make a 12x12 Heritage Makers book with selected backgrounds in colors and textures that you like, and a few embellishments and word art and then publish it (without pictures). When it comes in the mail, start adding your printed photos (with sticky corners or photo corners) and scrapping the pages with stickers, etc.... Leave a space on the front cover under the "Title" for a puffy frame to adhere, and a photo to slide in, to give it a 3-D effect. There you go! You're still able to use up some of the old scrapbook supplies that have been sitting in boxes in the closet!
What a great idea, and think of the time you'll save! You can finish your projects!

Well you celebrate of course!! If you subscribe to O magazine then you'll see it in your magazine this month. But it's very exciting because one of the Heritage Makers Consultant created a book for Oprah and now we're one of Oprah's Favorite Things (I don't' know about you but I would love to be on that episode of Oprah!!). Well since we all can't be on the show, we can all still get one of these!

Welcome to Stoybooking!
Hi and Welcome to the first blog regarding creating storybooks, cards and all other kinds of fun things using Heritage Makers!
I am very excited to start on this endeavor and I hope you find some good hints and the joy storybooking brings!
I consider myself a lazy scrapbooker! And by that I mean I have all the stuff and the desire but never actually pull out all the stuff and do it. Heritage makes it easy for me because I don't have to print my pictures, I just upload them. I don't have to create my own embellishments, I just click and drag them on there! I don't have to buy a bunch of paper just to get the one piece that I like I just click and add it. I don't have to come up with my own groupings or templates they are already there. And if by chance there is not something to fit my needs well I can get crafty and make my own!
I look forward to your comments and hearing the stories you create!
